Mr. Muhammad Sanusi is a driven education administrator, co-founder, and cornerstone Registrar of Iconic Open University, Sokoto. With a passion for pioneering open and distance learning in Nigeria, he has played a leading role in the university’s rapid growth, policy development, and founding vision. Mr. Sanusi’s expertise is proven by his successful management of new programme accreditations, streamlining of student admissions, and ongoing advocacy with regulatory agencies including the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Beyond administration, Mr. Sanusi is known for championing digital transformation in educational operations, introducing technology-driven registration, remote examination systems, and innovative resource centers for students on- and off-campus. He is active in building university-community relations and leads public communications to foster positive engagement, promote the university’s mission, and expand university partnerships nationally. His experience extends to human resource development, exam and record management, and supporting inclusive access to higher education.
