Iconic Open University

International Student's Policy

This policy guides all Iconic University students studying outside Nigeria.

Fee Payment by Country of Residence:

  • All international/foreign students who are non-Nigerians must pay programme fees according to their country of residence, as listed on the official programme fees pages on the university’s website.
  • Nigerians living in a foreign country must also pay fees according to their country of residence (not by nationality), as shown on the programme fees pages on the university’s website.

Examination Fees for Nigerians Abroad:

  • Nigerian students who travel abroad during exams and wish to write their exams in a foreign country must pay an additional $150 to register for and take exams outside Nigeria.

Health Sciences Practical and Field Work:

  • Students enrolled in health sciences programmes will have their practical or field work experience arranged locally in their country of residence. This must be successfully completed and documented before graduation.

General Guidelines:

  • All international students must ensure their contact details, including current country and address, are up to date with the university at all times.
  • Fees must be paid in full before enrolment or participation in university activities (academic, exams, practicals).
  • Overseas students must comply with both Iconic University regulations and the laws of their host country.
  • Any change of country during their studies must be reported immediately to the admissions office, as it may affect fees and study arrangements.
  • All communication regarding exams, payment, and practicals should be through official university channels and emails.

This policy ensures flexibility, fairness, and compliance for all students studying internationally.
