The Department of Public Health at Iconic Open University is a dynamic academic unit dedicated to producing competent public health professionals who can address complex health challenges and improve population health outcomes through flexible, technology-driven learning. As part of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, the Department offers the B.Sc. in Public Health at the undergraduate level, as well as the Master of Public Health (MPH) with specialisations including Epidemiology, Community Health, Biostatistics, Health Education, and Disaster Management, and the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health at the postgraduate level.
The Department’s programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of health from an international, public health perspective, covering topics such as health promotion, disease prevention, epidemiology, health policy, and health informatics, with the objectives of equipping graduates for community diagnosis, immunisation, health education, and effective leadership in various health settings.
