About this department

The Department of Business Administration at Iconic Open University is a prestigious academic unit dedicated to producing skilled managers, entrepreneurs, and business leaders who can drive organizational success and economic growth through flexible, technology-driven learning. As part of the Faculty of Management, Social, & Media Sciences, the Department offers the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration at the undergraduate level, a programme designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge of management principles, organizational behaviour, marketing, strategic planning, financial management, and human resource management .

At the postgraduate level, the Department offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a wide range of specialisations approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), including Finance, e-Commerce and FinTech, Islamic Finance, Corporate Law, Petroleum Business, Logistics Technology, Telecommunications, Agricultural Business, Engineering Business, Entrepreneurship and SMEs Management, and others, designed to meet the growing demand for advanced management expertise across diverse industries.

The Department is committed to producing competent business professionals, strategic thinkers, and ethical leaders through innovative teaching, cutting-edge research, and practical training, with a focus on transforming lives through technology and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets.
